Two Individuals Formally Indicted with Inmate Homicide of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder following the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48 years old, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were confiscated.
