Aircraft Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Popular California Coast
A chopper soaring above a well-attended coastal beach suddenly started spinning out of control, eventually losing altitude and crashing into a cluster of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Footage uploaded on social media capture the aircraft commencing to spiral above the beach then plunging near the edge of the coast, where it becomes wedged amidst palm groves and a set of stairs near the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five individuals were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the crash on that day.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Details on their condition were still under review.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
